FSYF COLLEGE ESSAY BOOTCAMP FOR RISING SENIORS

OVERVIEW

Is your child a rising senior? Have they started writing their college essays?

Early Decision (ED) and Early Action (EA) deadlines loom in October and November, while Regular Decision (RD) applications are due in January.

By completing their essays this summer, your child can reduce senior-year stress and avoid the dreaded midnight scramble to hit submit on their application.

We invite you to join the nationally recognized experts from Top Score Education for a comprehensive virtual FSYF College Essay Bootcamp this summer, designed exclusively for FSYF members (and individuals eligible for FSYF membership).

This class is only open to rising seniors.

CLASS STRUCTURE

  • 6, 1-hour-long group classes

  • 1, 1-hour-long private consultation session with Top Score’s College Essay Coach

  • Ongoing editing and revision support from Top Score’s College Essay Coach

  • All students will finish the class with a finalized and polished version of their personal statement for the Common App or Coalition App.

The FSYF College Essay Bootcamp will be capped at 10 students, and early registration is recommended. Registration closes seven days before the first class. This course costs $600 for FSYF members and $750 for non-members. However, it is only open to individuals eligible for FSYF membership. All materials, resources, and communication with Top Score are included in this cost.

CLASS SCHEDULE

  • Class #1: Tuesday, July 29, 9 AM EST

  • Class #2: Friday, August 1, 9 AM EST

  • Class #3: Tuesday, August 5, 9 AM EST

  • Class #4: Friday, August 8, 9 AM EST

  • Class #5, Saturday, August 16, 9 AM EST

  • Class #6, Saturday, August 23, 9 AM EST

OTHER NOTES

Many colleges and universities require students to write supplemental essays in addition to their personal statements. Because supplemental essay requirements vary by school, this bootcamp will only focus on the universal personal statement. Your student will almost certainly have to write supplemental answers and essays depending on which school(s) they are applying to. Students participating in the FSYF College Essay Bootcamp will be eligible to work with Top Score’s College Essay Coach one-on-one on supplemental essays at $75 per hour, a 50% discount off their standard price for this service.
