What You Need To Know and How to Get Support

Description: Having a baby can be disorienting for anyone, but having a baby and packing up all your things, moving to a new place, and starting all over without your support systems can feel like more than you can handle. We get it! In this talk, mental health therapists Julianna Foster and Jodi Harris will provide guidance and insight about the postpartum experience, how to best access important mental health resources, and strategies you can begin even before the big day.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn more about the expected and unexpected mental health concerns that you may be experiencing during the postpartum period.
  • Learn important skills for nurturing your mental health before and during pregnancy to better prepare you for the postpartum period.
  • Learn skills for sharing your needs with your partner, healthcare provider, and other support systems.
