FSYF invites repatriating middle school students to join us for a workshop designed to help empower them with tools for their re-entry process. We'll brainstorm strategies for adjusting to life in American middle schools and will help participants develop a support network of FS peers.

Moderator:

Maryam Afnan Ahmad, author of Slurping Soup and Other Confusions.

About the Moderator:

Maryam Afnan Ahmad is a published author, certified trainer, teacher, expat and diplomatic spouse. She also teaches full time at Edlin School for gifted and talented children in Reston, Virginia.

Description:

This is an activity-based workshop, with an ice cream social at the conclusion of the program.

This program is intended only for students entering 6th through 8th grades.

Fees and Payment:

FSYF Members: $10 per student

FSYF Non Members: $20 per student
