Transition Planning for Families in the Foreign Service

n April, FSYF partnered with the ARC of Northern Virginia to a host a workshop/webinar on transition planning for FS families who have a child with a disability. This workshop was targeted to families who need to plan for the future even though they may not know where they will eventually reside. This workshop discussed issues related to future planning including where to access resources; special needs trusts, decision making options once your child turns 18, and Social Security Benefits.
