While raising a family around the world as the spouse of a Foreign Service Officer, Laura Banks has witnessed the power of kindness, compassion, and connection to transform challenges in a multitude of circumstances. Following an unexpected family medical crisis and evacuation, she learned about and completed teacher training to become a Certified Compassion Cultivation Training(CCT) Instructor through Compassion Institute and Stanford University’sCenter for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education(CCARE). One of her deepest desires is to share what she has learned with other Foreign Service individuals and families to help them thrive in this simultaneously wonderful and challenging lifestyle.
