The Family Liaison Office (FLO) is here to support Foreign Service families and children. They oversee the following programs:
The Education and Youth office in FLO has a wealth of information about schooling, both overseas and domestic, that can help families navigate their options.
From evacuations to divorce and other critical issues that face Foreign Service families, this office can provide you with the additional support and guidance you need in traumatic situations.
Evacuation support is one of many crisis situations for which FLO offers support. This webpage provides a lot of useful information for preparing to go overseas and step-by-step guidance if your family is facing an evacuation. Be Prepared!
With their motto, 'Unaccompanied, but not alone', FLO is emphasizing their support of families who are living through or preparing for Unaccompanied Tours (UT).
The Employment Program Team will advise individual family members on overseas and Washington area employment issues, either in person or via email or phone
This is of particular concern to Foreign Born Spouses, and FLO can provide guidance. But guidance from FLO is limited to family members of employees of the Department of State.
FLO does much more! Visit the FLO Website for more information.
